An interactive installation runs a bike race across five procedural sections on a local network.

The project
An interactive cycling race kiosk engaged Kronenbourg visitors during an experiential marketing activation. The system was required to operate in complete autonomy offline, with no on-site Internet connection. The studio developed a real-time 3D racing game in Unity, designed to run fully offline. A giant screen and four arcade buttons enabled one or two participants to compete simultaneously. The installation operated with total autonomy on-site until the end of the campaign on July 21.

The challenge
The installation had to run continuously without relying on the public network. Any use of the cloud was out of the question. The control room on a tablet had to manage registrations and launch games while synchronizing scores live on the game screen via a flawless local connection.
Our approach
We developed a real-time 3D cycling racing game tailored for arcade. In front of a 65-inch screen, players compete solo or head-to-head using push buttons connected via an Arduino interface. The track stays fresh thanks to procedural generation across five environments. For the event staff, a tablet application communicates over a local network with an internal server running Docker, Node.js, and MySQL to manage teams and display the dynamic leaderboard.
Results
The system ensured 100% autonomous operation on the ground through the end of operations on July 21. Local synchronization between the control station and the game operated seamlessly. On-site teams ran consecutive sessions without relying on an external connection or experiencing any interruptions.
