The Model That Reveals a Territory in AR
A phygital system combining physical model and augmented reality, delivered before September 30.
The challenge
The end client, Paris La Défense, wanted to enrich the presentation of its territory through an innovative system combining physical and digital elements. The main challenge was to ensure a smooth and stable integration of 3D elements (HUD, animations) and to optimize the readability of media (videos, slideshows) in mixed reality headsets.
Our approach
Development of the AR application in Unity with integration of 3D models and animations (FBX files from Blender). Creation of a user journey allowing movement around the scale model with fixed points of interest. Implementation of an interactive interface (HUD) to display details, play videos, and navigate through image slideshows.
The project
Paris La Défense sought to enhance the presentation of its territory through a phygital system combining a physical scale model with augmented reality. The team designed and developed a dedicated application in Unity for Magic Leap glasses, enabling the superimposition of interactive points of interest directly onto the physical installation. The user journey integrates animated 3D models created in Blender and an interface (HUD) specifically optimized to ensure the readability of multimedia content, such as videos and slideshows, in mixed reality. The project concluded with the final installation and technical validation of the system, delivering a stable and seamless navigation experience all around the architectural model.
