Having students play on their own mobile phones leaves no room for latency. On campuses, Bouygues needed to capture a crowd on the move and collect qualified leads. We designed an event activation based on an interactive multiplayer quiz, synchronizing participants' phones with a shared screen and physical equipment.

The audience plays using their own mobile connection while a screen broadcasts the game. The system had to maintain immediate two-way synchronization between phones, the central display, and the physical trigger. The slightest latency on campus broke the competition and engagement in the contest.

Our approach

We developed a download-free web app, accessible via QR code. Participants join the game on their smartphones, and their answers appear instantly on the big screen via WebSockets. The host manages sessions from a dedicated console. During an instant-win moment, the server directly controls a physical unit on the booth. Behind the scenes, a back office centralizes game statistics, broadcasts the standby video, and exports the collected data.
