An augmented reality application tangibly visualizes carbon footprint impact for the energy group Engie. The system was required to deliver an instantaneous individual assessment within a standalone headset, without any connection to a remote server. The software performs all calculations locally and drives an interactive graphical interface faithful to the brand guidelines. Three interactive buttons allow the visitor to modify their choices, reset the display, or forward their data via SMS. This project demonstrates the studio's ability to combine embedded computing with interactive rendering in augmented reality.

The system had to popularize complex calculations without downtime. The user needed to interact naturally with their personal data while preparing for its export via SMS. The slightest latency or visual interruption broke engagement: the headset had to handle all computing locally, without relying on a remote server.

The approach

Each participant puts on the headset and discovers an interface integrated into their field of view. We programmed a standalone executable in Unity, directly integrating the carbon footprint calculation engine and the Engie visual ergonomics. The user controls their simulation through three animated interactive commands: reset, go back, or confirm the sending of their assessment. This mixed-reality approach guarantees total interaction fluidity and technically prepares the deferred transmission of results via SMS.
