The smartphone routing images to the control room
An event activation pairing a mobile app with printing terminals for a single-day showcase at Palais.
The project
OPPO showcased an interactive photo capture setup during an official event at Palais Brongniart in Paris. The photo shoots needed to trigger instant physical prints at the control station without disrupting guest flow. The studio connected two smartphones running an Android application to a centralized on-site printing station. The installation delivered continuous custom prints throughout the day-long operation. A single team handled both the software integration and technical deployment at the heart of the venue.

The challenge
The schedule dictated a grueling pace: less than a week to design the application, validate the technology, and install the setup on-site. In a crowded heritage venue, the connection between the phones and the control room had to operate without latency or signal loss.
Our approach
We developed a mobile application using Unity, generating a dedicated Android executable. It incorporates the brand's graphic identity and directly applies an overlay template to the photos. In the control room, we deployed an architecture using Node.js and Symfony to synchronize the streams in real time. As soon as a participant confirms their photo, the server triggers instant printing.
