A touch booth records visitors' voices
Interactive installation at Printemps Haussmann recording voice notes and triggering DMX lighting cues.

The project
An interactive booth was deployed for Meetic at Printemps Haussmann during an experiential retail activation. The setup needed to capture voices and portraits continuously while remaining fully functional in the event of an internet outage. The studio programmed two vertical screens synchronized in real time, combining multimedia capture with dynamic lighting control. The local architecture maintained continuous operation within the department store without the slightest service interruption.

The challenge
The entire user journey relies on voice and portrait. If the network drops or synchronization wavers, the user is left facing a black screen. The challenge: ensure absolute service continuity, control the lighting, and store media locally without requiring the presence of a technical team.
The approach
We developed a Web App that synchronizes an external screen with an indoor touch kiosk. Inside the booth, a video guides the user. The system starts a 20-second voice recording timed to audio cues and DMX lighting, then triggers a flash photo. Browsing profiles requires listening to the full audio to unblur each portrait. We also integrated the moderation back-office, transactional email sending, and local telemetry.
Results
All technical and scenographic interactions functioned right from the launch night. The setup then maintained continuous, uninterrupted operation within Printemps Haussmann. The local architecture ensured data persistence and a smooth experience without depending on the network.
