Two augmented reality mobile applications equip Vype sales representatives during their in-store demonstrations with tobacconists. The volumetric display had to remain sharp and jitter-free as the salesperson moved around the open physical presentation box. The studio developed two native applications and a Web AR version utilizing computer vision. Four real-time interactive 3D scenes align precisely with the object placed on a counter. The system ensures stable anchoring of the virtual product, ready for immediate use in the retail field.

  • Vision par ordinateur

The virtual image had to remain perfectly anchored to the packaging. If the display shakes or drops out when the person moves around the object, the sales impact is immediately lost. It was necessary to lock the optical recognition onto a dark cardboard base while ensuring complete smoothness.

The approach

We developed two mobile applications and a Web AR version. By pointing the screen at the folding display, the printed marker triggers the display of 3D / CGI graphic elements. The user discovers the electronic cigarette surrounded by light beams, urban animations, and orbiting elements synchronized in real time. Volumetric anchoring keeps the effects stable from all viewing angles.
